The public form is separate
The website does not collect policy files, claim numbers, photographs, estimates, financial or health information, or supporting documents. The Website Privacy Notice governs the initial inquiry.
Information after engagement
If a client relationship begins, M&T may obtain information directly from the client and, with authorization or as permitted by law, from insurers, mortgage holders, contractors, professionals, and public records.
Authorized use
M&T uses that information only to perform the authorized public-adjusting engagement, communicate with the client, maintain required records, protect its systems and rights, and comply with law.
Disclosures
M&T does not sell nonpublic personal financial information and does not disclose it to nonaffiliated third parties except as authorized by the client or permitted or required by law.
Safeguards and retention
M&T maintains reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards and retains files according to the engagement, legal duties, and legitimate security or defense needs.
Current and former clients
The same required protections apply to information about current and former clients.

M&T will provide any privacy notice required when the client relationship is established and later when legally required or when practices materially change. Posting this summary does not replace a notice that must be delivered directly.
